Architectural Design Competition
Heritage and Interpretation Centre
Cascades Female Factory Historic Site – Hobart, Tasmania
An architectural design competition for a new History and Interpretation Centre at Cascades Female Factory was launched by Port Arthur Historic Site Management Authority (PAHSMA) on 8th March in honour of International Women’s Day. Because of the historic and social values of the Cascades Female Factory and the social significance of the new centre, PAHSMA are seeking to foster female leadership and participation in the project. Entrants into the design competition are required to demonstrate leadership in and strong commitment to resourcing the project with a significant proportion of female participation.
The Port Arthur Historic Sites Management Authority (PAHSMA) invited Expressions of Interest and Registration from suitably qualified parties to enter competition for the design of a History and Interpretation Centre for the Cascades Female Factory Site in Hobart, Tasmania.
The Expressions of Interest stage has now closed and further information on the project can be found here as information becomes available.
